A former McDonald’s employee revealed on the Reddit website that the burger chain uses an unfair technique when serving fries. The pinching method consists in pinching the tray of chips so that its contents do not fall to the bottom and the tray looks full when it is not.
A former McDonald’s employee has confided in the Reddit website about the restaurant chain’s practices. According to the later, McDonald’s teaches its employees how to scam its consumers about the amount of French fries served using a nice technique. It consists in pinching the tray of chips and filling it falsely, to make the customer believe that it is full. However, the bottom is not filled because the fries are only placed on the surface. During his service, this employee had only one complaint about this from a consumer. The client had poured his fries into a paper bag before pouring them back into his tray, which was then only half full.
After this testimony, another former McDonald’s employee confirmed the use of this dishonest technique. He did not agree with this technique and did not apply it. Some customers knew about it and even asked him for his hours of service so that he could serve them. Shortly afterwards, a McDonald’s England employee also said that the restaurant where he worked taught him the pinch technique. You do feel betrayed, don’t you?
